The most common wire rope for hanging fixtures, tethering equipment, and constructing barriers. It balances flexibility and abrasion resistance — you can bend it if needed, but it has fewer wires that could break over time, so it lasts longer.
Galvanized Steel — The outer layer resists moisture but can wear down when exposed to salt water and chemicals.
Wire Rope Construction — Strand cores are more crush and impact-resistant than hollow cores. However, you can run electrical wiring or fluid conduit through hollow core ropes.
Preformed — With each wire shaped into a spiral before being twisted onto the rope, they maintain their shape when cut. This keeps them from unraveling or poking equipment and users.
