The 5″ Heat Sink absorbs any excessive heat put off by a motor. Oftentimes, a liquid or air coolant is used as a coolant to help dissipate the heat. This product makes temperature control possible. It is suggested that this heat sink be used with ShurFLO motors that have to be run almost continuously. For this reason, heat sinks may often be used in industrial or commercial applications.
